What does a horse have to do to earn a label like that? Ā In most cases theĀ horse desperately tries to communicate something to humans: pain, fear, discomfort.Ā Horses want to please and cooperate. Since they are herd animals, it is in their nature to do so. If they are very uncooperative or dangerous the horse generally is in pain or heĀ is very, very confused.

For me, that horse is Emily. She is/was so extremely insecure that she would freak out when she thought she was doing something wrong. But being so smart and so sweet, it makes her a gem too!
